- Building on the center’s strategic objectives, which include establishing veterinary laboratories, strengthening its capabilities, providing them with the latest equipment and equipment, and adopting the education program and continuous training of technical staff;
- As part of a concerted effort between Institutions in Libya to face the dangers of the new Corona epidemic, to contain the virus pandemic and harness all available possibilities and on the plan of the community health reference laboratory at the National Center for Disease Control, which aims to harness the possibilities available in the laboratory of the National Center for Animal Health in conducting tests for the detection of the new corona virus (COVID-19);
- Because the veterinary laboratories of the National Center for Animal Health have the ability to conduct tests to detect the virus in the molecular diagnostic laboratory whether with the availability of a device RT )PCR)and the presence of national stuff, are competent and well trained with regard to the biosafety rules to supervise the receipt of samples and the disposal of the waste of analysis;
The laboratory began receiving samples and referred from the National Center for Disease Control on 19/5/2020 for tests to detect the disease and the number of samples up to the date of the preparation of the report (5178) samples.
بناء،،،، على الاهداف الاستراتيجية للمركز و التى منها إنشاء المختبرات البيطرية و تعزيز قدراتها وتزويدها بأحدث الأجهزة و المعدات واعتماد برنامج التعليم و التدريب المستمر للكوادر الفنية.
فى اطار تضافر الجهود بين مؤسسات فى ليبيا لمجابهة مخاطر وباء كورونا المستجد لاحتواء جائحة الفيروس و تسخير كافة الامكانيات المتوفرة و على خطة المختبر المرجعي لصحة المجتمع بالمركز الوطني لمكافحة الأمراض والتي تستهدف تسخير الإمكانيات المتوفرة بمختبر المركز الوطني للصحة الحيوانية في إجراء الاختبارات للكشف عن فيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد – 19).حيث ان المختبرات البيطرية بالمركز الوطنى للصحة الحيوانية لها المقدرة على اجراء الاختبارات للكشف على الفيروس فى مختبر التشخيص الجزيئى سواء بتوفر جهاز
RT PCR
و وجود الكوادر الوطنين لديهم الكفاءة و متدربين بشكل جيد على التحليل و كدوار الامن الحيوى و السلامة الحيوية للإشراف على استلام العينات و التخلص من مخلفات التحاليل والمختصين فى الامراض المشتركة بين الانسان و الحيوان لإجراء المتابعة للحالات المصابة و التى تكون من فئة مربيين الحيوانات .
بدا المختبر باستلام العينات و المحالة من المركز الوطنى لمكافحة الامراض بتاريخ 19 /5/2020 لإجراء الاختبارات للكشف على المرض و قد بلغ عدد العينات حتى تاريخ اعدد التقرير ( 5178) عينة
