Laboratory Training “Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) in African dairy farming: advanced training for Laboratory experts (Eilaj-Aman)”

The laboratory training took place from the 15 to the 27 January 2023 at the IZS in Palermo, and it was the chance to create a scientific and collaborative environment to share physical training and technology transfer to our partners in order to offer a sufficient knowledge, practical training, skills and competences required for successful AMR detection in veterinary laboratories and moreover to create a network for future interlaboratory project dedicated to this emerging, “One Health” risk.  

Representatives of diagnostic laboratories in Algeria, Sudan, Lybia and Senegal attended the training.

All participants valued and recognized the importance and the impact of the ERFAN project in building a collaborative network, supported by IZS in Palermo in strengthening the capacity of veterinary Institutions concerning Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) in African dairy farming
