The first online meeting of ERFAN working group on “Animal Welfare” was organized on 22 July 2020 to discusss the application of FVS of Pretoria for OIE cc for Animal Welfare, state of the art and impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the previously decided timeframe, training sessions in Pretoria within the research project “Utilising a participatory approach in international collaboration to facilitate implementation of OIE animal welfare standards in Southern Africa”, previously scheduled for June 2020 and cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Delegates from Botswana, Italy, Namibia, Republic of South Africa and Zambia took part in the debate.
