AICS call for proposals for CSOs and Local Authorities
The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation launches a call for proposals to funds initiatives promoted by Italian local Authorities and by Civil Society Organisations.
Each proposed Initiative must refer to only one of the fields of intervention listed in the call for proposals:
A. VOCATIONAL TRAINING – EMPLOYMENT – ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Vocational training will aim to promote the development of employment and/or the creation of business start-ups.
B. GOVERNANCE AND BASIC SERVICES
Proposed Initiatives should support and promote the governance capacity of local institutions in general and basic services.
C. SUSTAINABLE URBAN/TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT and URBAN FOOD POLICIES
Proposed Initiatives should contribute to the promotion of sustainable and resilient urban/territorial development, also with a view to strengthening local food systems.
D. FOOD SECURITY AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE
Proposed Initiatives should favour diversified and ecologically sustainable food production at local and/or regional level.
E. ENVIRONMENT, FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE AND ENERGY
Proposed Initiatives should consider the energy-agriculture-health nexus contributing to the mitigation of the effects of climate change.
Initiatives promoted must take place for 85% of the budget in the following African countries: Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, CAR, Eritrea, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger, Cameroon, Chad, Senegal, Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Ivory Coast, Togo, Angola, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo.
